Protecting your home.

What is homeowners insurance?

For many, homeowners insurance protects their largest and most precious asset against personal losses.
A homeowners policy is a combination of property and liability coverage. The policy can be structured to meet the unique needs of a homeowner and usually includes coverage for the building, contents, other structures, and loss of use provision in the event of a covered loss.
Each policy is different, and limitations apply.

You have options.

You have options with your homeowners policy. One option is insuring your home and contents for replacement cost. Replacement cost is the amount needed to help repair the damage or rebuild your home to its pre-loss condition. Actual coverage and claim settlement are dependent on the policy, coverage purchased, and meeting the policy requirements.

You can also choose to add coverage that is typically not covered by most homeowner policies. Such options include equipment breakdown coverage, which can cover the cost of repairing or replacing essential equipment when it breaks down, or service line coverage, which can cover the cost of repairing or replacing a broken service or utility line running into your home.

Let’s discuss your options today!

Review your coverage.

Reviewing your homeowners policy annually is always a good idea to protect your home and belongings appropriately. Also, contact your agent anytime you have completed a home remodel or made a significant purchase to keep your coverage up to date.
