Forward Foundation Donates To Blessings In A Backpack

Blessings in a Backpack provides a weekend food program for Carrington School students in need. A division of Carrington’s Daily Bread, the organizations mission is to provide hope and love by nourishing both body and spirit through our faith and food.

The Forward Foundation donation to Blessings in a Backpack will help the organization continue to provide kid friendly foods to students in need. to have at home for the weekend. In addition to growing produce, children learn how to interact with and care for farm animals, learn about food products that farm animals produce for humans, and
have the opportunity to experience nature through organized activities and free play on the farm.

“We are honored to support Blessings in a Backpack,” Taylor Skytland, Bank Forward employee and Forward Foundation volunteer, says. “It is sad to think of any child going hungry, but we are grateful for organizations like Blessings in a Backpack that take action to make a positive impact on children in our community.”
