Bank Forward employees in Cooperstown and Hannaford sponsored a meal for roughly 120 people for our 2nd Annual Trinity Growers Project.
Last year, six organizations received the fruits of the labors from the Trinity Growers Project, which raised a soybean crop on donated land, with donated seed, equipment, and labor to give the proceeds from the crop's harvest to their chosen charities.
With the help of Bank Forward Corporate Chef, Danny Bakken, a pork dinner was served Sunday, September 15th to celebrate another successful Grower Project for 2013. Over $34,100 in wheat was sold with the funds being donated to several local and world food organizations to help feed needy families. Various farm input dealers again donated all of the input costs for this years fundraising efforts. A group of local farmers donated their time and equipment for the project as well.
