Bank Forward Walker House Demolition

It's the end of an era at Bank Forward. Thursday, June 13th, the house behind the Walker bank was torn down, making room for what's next at our Walker location!

The bank acquired the little house next door when its owner passed away unexpectedly (I believe it was 2005). At first we used it as a break room where we could eat lunches or host meetings, and then it became mainly a storage unit. We stored miscellaneous office items on the main level (things such as Tom’s bikes and water tube). The garage was used as space to assemble our parade floats and store the golf cart. We will miss the space as it was so convenient to walk next door and get anything that may be needed.

The plan:
Pending our bank remodel project that will hopefully be coming this Fall, we will be re-directing traffic coming through the drive-up. Now instead of kicking traffic out into the alley, we will send them around the bank and out onto Michigan Avenue. There will possibly be some parking space added as well.

We are very excited to see what is to come and hope that it will make our customers that much more happy!
