Bank Forward hosted a Walker Area Food Shelf Drive during the month of March, an annual fundraiser held at the Walker branch.
March and April are prime months to donate to your local food shelf as there are two supporting organizations that pro-rate donations based on the dollars and food donated: Minnesota FoodShare and The Feinstein Foundation $1.0 Million Challenge. Bank Forward acted on this challenge and was able to raise $415.49 in monetary donations and received 217 pounds, for a total of $632.49 donated to the Walker Area Food Shelf. Considering $1.00 donated = 5 meals fromSecond Harvest, Bank Forward’s food drive produced over 2,000 meals!
