Hands-Free MN - Are you ready?
Tomorrow is the day! August 1st the hands-free bill becomes law in Minnesota. What’s this really mean?
Well, drivers in Minnesota will only be allowed to use their cell phone by voice commands or single-touch activation to make calls, text, listen to music or podcasts and get directions. So, no video calling, streaming, Snapchat, gaming, looking at video or photos stored on the phone, using non-navigation apps, reading texts and scrolling or typing on the phone.
Still have questions? Check out the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety website for all the details on being hands-free.
